Ontario Issued More Invitations to Express Entry Candidates
Ontario which is one of the most popular province in Canada among immigrants is taking quick steps to bring in more people to the province. In the latest news update, the Express Entry -linked Skilled Trades Stream and the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream were active recently and sent out more invitations to eligible candidates.
The latest invitation round in Express Entry-linked immigration streams were carried out on May 23rd and 24th and the total number of Notifications of Interest (NOIs) that were issued were 64 to candidates from the Express Entry pool provided they were found eligible as per the criteria set by Ontario.
A trend has been followed by Ontario in the recent past, that is, invitation rounds are conducted every week in these two streams. There trend has been there since the second week of April.
As per the news update from Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), a total of 30 Express Entry candidates were issued invitations in the Skilled Trades Stream and these people had submitted their profile in the Express Entry System between January 1st 2018 and May 23rd 2018.The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream follows the same trend almost and a total of 34 candidates in the Express Entry system were issued the Notifications of Interest (NOIs) and the profile of all these people was submitted between January 1st and May 23rd 2018.
There is something unique about these two Express Entry-linked streams and that is there is no requirement for minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in order to be considered for both of them. Once a candidate gets nominated in any of these two streams they get an additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) because of which the probability of these candidates to receive Invitation to Apply from Federal Government improves considerably.
Since the beginning of the year 2018, a total of 727 NOIs have been issued under the Skilled Trades Stream from Ontario. In case of French-Speaking Skilled Workers Stream a total of 502 NOIs have been issued till now in 2018 to Express Entry candidates.
One more Express Entry-linked stream that is run by Ontario that is Human Capital Priorities Stream has issued a total of 2,587 NOIs till now in the year 2018.
