Prince Edward Island Issue Invitations to Express Entry Candidates

Provincial nomination is one of the most promising ways to immigrate to Canada. These programs are particularly useful for those who have acquired work experience or have studied in a particular province.

In the Latest Update on Express Entry linked draw, the province of Prince Edward Island of Canada carried out an invitation round recently. In this draw a number of candidates from the Express Entry pool were issued the invitation to apply.

A total of 78 invitations to apply were issued by Prince Edward Island for a provincial nomination in the draw that was conducted by this province on May 17^th.

Now, there are a number of criteria that are required to be fulfilled in order to be considered by a province of Canada for provincial nomination. The province of Prince Edward Island has also framed its own set of criteria.

The candidates who were invited in the latest draw from PEI were already working in the province, which means that they had work experience in the province.

A point worth noting here is that the Expression of Interest score was disclosed by the province in the latest draw for the candidates who were selected from the Express Entry pool.

All those aspiring immigrants who wish that they also get a provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island have to take the following important steps.

The first requirement is they are supposed to have a profile in the Express Entry System that is run by the federal government of Canada.

The second step that you are required to take is to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile in the online system of the province. Many of you might be aware that this system was introduced by the government of Prince Edward Island in the month of February.

Once that profile has been submitted it will go through a review and points will be assigned to each profile on the basis of six selection factors. These selection factors are as follow – age, education, language, work experience, employment and adaptability.

The maximum points that are there for these six selection factors are 100. one of the biggest benefit of getting the provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island is that the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the candidate is increased by 600 points.
