Alberta Launches Two New Immigration Programs
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) will directly select candidates from the Express Entry pool who are found eligible. A candidate in the Express Entry pool can apply for a provincial nominee only after an invitation is received from AINP.
Enter the Express Entry pool, as this is the first step you need to take if you want to be considered for these streams.
Along with the new Express Entry stream, applications will now be accepted by Alberta under the Self-Employed Farmer Stream and the very latest Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS).
The AOS is a different kind of program in the sense that it will be run outside the Express Entry and permanent residence will be provided by this pathway for those who have worked in the province of Alberta.
A candidate is not required to have an employer support in order to apply for the new AOS program.
With two new immigration programs in action, two existing streams from Alberta had to bid goodbye.
Yes, dear aspiring immigrants, the Employer-Driven Stream and Strategic Recruitment Stream from Alberta will be taken off from the shelf starting from June 14, as stated by Alberta.
Looks like there are many who had already applied for these streams, well, all the applications who have been marked before June 14 will still be accepted for processing by AINP.
Do you want to become eligible for AOS? Than You need to have the following:
Currently working full-time in Alberta in an Eligible Occupation and fulfill the minimum requirements set up for residency, education, language, occupation, work experience and income level.
Expansion has been made to the occupations and skill levels that will be accepted under the new streams from AINP. This is something really good as more diverse people will be accepted under the program.
